DCI's Lab 1

The scenario is all too familiar; the much-anticipated day arrives for installation of your new network or system, and one or more hardware components fails out of the box. It's frustrating, time-consuming, and can cost you real money as you reschedule and wait to go online.

Thanks to DCI's Lab 1, our customers don't deal with "DOA" equipment. Period. In our Staging Lab, we test and configure equipment from small hubs to core switches, basic key phone systems (twelve phones or fewer) to Nortel CS 1000s (which handle over 100,000 phones). Capabilities include set-up and full testing of network components and entire wireless networks.

We can emulate Frame Relay, Point-to-Point Circuits (both T1 and DDS), BRI and PRI. We can also perform PRI digit manipulation to fully emulate the environment in which the phone system will be installed. Of course, hard copies of equipment configuration details are kept on file for use in backup situations. Customer training can be arranged at Lab 1, in an environment that closely mirrors/emulates that of the install location.

Recently, we have expanded Lab 1 to enable testing, configuration and support of optical networking equipment.

Our goal in Lab 1 is to prevent all out-of-box failures at installation, making the equipment we provide as plug-and-play as possible.
